Activity and Chiropractic

What is the difference between you and a world-class Olympic athlete? You may be thinking that the difference is rather large, however, you are an athlete whether you admit to it or not. Our bodies are meant to move freely and function without interference no matter what our level of activity may be.

This reason among many is why Chiropractic care is so important for your day to day life. When we are experiencing pain or some other overt symptom we know that we have an underlying issue. However, with our musculoskeletal system, things can be less obvious. Small things such as a weak ankle can lead to issues in our hips or lower back that we may not have known we had or prevented had we done something about it beforehand.

Along with regular Chiropractic care, we always recommend a good stretching routine as well as a strong core. To see if you can improve your activity level with some stretching or strengthening check back in the following weeks for our core strength and stretching segments on the blog.

If you find yourself functioning less than you once did keep in mind that Chiropractic can have the following benefits.

  • Reduce motor reaction times
  • Increase stability of the body
  • Increase coordination of movements
  • Decrease pain and stiffness before and after activity
  • Reduce biomechanical joint position errors
  • Provide a lifetime of physiological and neurologic care

If you or someone you know is experiencing any of these issues or are starting back to an Active Life this summer, feel free to contact Dr. Sam at 999-7805 for a free consultation.
